The rising cost of living and the spread of a hedonistic lifestyle have created significant financial challenges for society, especially among young people who are often pressured to imitate luxurious lifestyles beyond their financial capacity. Frugal living emerges as a solution, representing a modest and efficient lifestyle that emphasizes wise financial management. This study examines the concept of frugal living from the perspective of Tafsir Nurul Quran by Allamah Kamal Faqih Imani using a qualitative approach with a thematic character analysis method. The focus of this research is the interpretation of Qur’anic verses related to consumption, avoidance of excess (isrāf), and miserliness (iqtar) in Tafsir Nurul Quran, as well as their implications for frugal living practices in daily life. The integration of a modern hermeneutical approach enables a contextual understanding of the text that remains relevant to contemporary realities. This study provides a comprehensive understanding of the Islamic foundations of frugal living and serves as a practical guide for managing finances to achieve financial stability and inner peace without falling into consumerisme.
